Biological monitoring is being performed at two-years and five-years post-dredge to collect data needed for delisting the Buffalo River Area of Concern (AOC). Vegetation and habitat structures are being monitored on an annual basis to comply with permit requirements. The first round of sampling was conducted two years post-dredge in 2017 and additional monitoring is planned for five years post-dredge in 2020.
